How to Join a Sorority Tips Tricks and Advice for Sorority Rush and Making the Cut eBook Macy Anderson

Wow, I thought this would give information for daughter as she begins a rush at a SEC school. Believe me when I say that I read this book in 20 minutes. There was nothing very valuable in this book. It was a general definition of what rush is. There was nothing about preferences or bid day and very little information of what to wear or appearance except don’t wear PJ pants. Nothing about recs. Don’t buy this book if you need real information or advice for a very competitive sorority rush. Go Greek is offering much more advice for us.

How to Join a Sorority is one of a kind! At least I've never read a book like this before. It was inviting, informative, and entertaining. I'm WAY past this sort of thing right now but at least when my daughter gets a little older I'll know what she's talking about if this ever comes up.
Great book!
I found this book to be very informative. I was actually part of Kappa Sigma fraternity in my university. I had lots of fun and learned a lot on being a gentlemen. I found a lot of the info here for sororities also applies to fraternities. Both fraternities and sororities are a great way to make long lasting friends.
What a fun book - I read this book in one sitting. Macy Anderson writes really well and in an easy style. Basically, this book gives the inside-track on all the "How to" aspects of joining a Sorority - very practical and pragmatic - but written in a relaxed and fun way. Great work Macy - I learned a lot from your book. Thanks for writing this book. Jake
I have been invited to join a Sorority for several times now, and I'm not really sure how it really works, or what does sorority stands for, though I'm really interested in joining. I have come across in and have bought this book... It does contain lots of information and really introduces what is a Sorority and how one could join. Great book and informative )
This is a great book for anyone who recently graduated from high school. Anyone who wants clear, step-by-step tips and strategies on how to properly prepare oneself for the Sorority rush and make the cut should get their hands on this book. Some might turn to Google, but this is a real time-saver, so save yourself the trouble, this book contain pretty much all you need to know, as well as it being presented in a very practical fashion. All in all, a great read!
I've been looking for some gifts to some relatives that have recently graduated high school and I think this is perfect! For your girl relatives this guide really breaks down the entire step-by-step process of exactly how to approach joining a sorority. Even better, it comes packed with practical tips and clear actions steps of how to handle each scenario. I gave it 5 stars because of the overall clear breakdown of each step... along with the great and easy tips that I can see my relatives easily following. Would recommend this book... and... will definitely buy more copies for my recent graduating relatives.
This is a good general guide for those who don't know much about the sorority recruitment process. It's a pretty quick read laid out step by step of what what happens and what you need to do. As a current sorority chapter adviser, I appreciate how the author included chapters about the new member period and how much of a time commitment a sorority truly is.

My one issue with this guide is the section on Letters of Endorsement (LOE) and Recommendations. While they are very similar, letters of endorsement are NOT the same thing as a recommendation. There are a few schools that do favor LOE but most schools--especially selective ones like those in the SEC, Indiana, USC, etc.--require recommendations. if you're getting ready to go through recruitment, double check with your college's Greek Life office to find out if you need recs or LOE.
